Friday Safari

I know it's Sunday and I'm just now getting around to posting images taken on Friday but it's been a busy weekend. As always, visiting the San Diego Wild Animal Park proved to be a great afternoon. Even though the baby Sumatran Tigers were nowhere to be seen, nor where the gorillas, I still managed to get tons of great photographs of many of the other beautiful creatures. Treat yourself, and take a minute to browse through the following photos and let me know what you think.

Coastal Cruise Continued

Yesterday, we started in Monterey and worked our way down the rugged coast. After a long day in the car taking in as much as we could with limited time, we finally got home to San Diego. Littered with state parks, historic sites, and unbelievable scenery, the coastline is so amazing that I already want to go back. The big question is when!

Coastal Cruise

On the way home from visiting family up in Vacaville, CA., I decided that a coastal cruise would be more fun then a long, hot, and boring drive through central California. San Francisco sounded like as good as spot as any to start exploring, so I headed there first.

Even though driving the Cabrillo Highway takes a lot longer then some of the other highways, it is well worth the time. I'll definitely be back soon and spend even more time exploring and photographing all along this most fabulous and scenic route.

Back to Old Town

Today we started with breakfast up at Janet's Montana Cafe in Alpine. Good food at good prices. Can't go wrong with that! After breakfast, we migrated up to the Viejas Outlet Center for some quick shopping then we were off to Old Town to waste some time.

Cajon Classic Cruise

Tonight we took a break from working on the house and met some friends in downtown El Cajon for dinner and the Cajon Classic Cruise.

During the summer, hundreds of classic, custom, and hot rod cars and motorcycles gather in the heart of historic downtown El Cajon each Wednesday evening between 5pm and 8pm for a street festival. Admission is free, the cars are fantastic, and the food is great too. Please visit the Cajon Classic Cruise website for more information about this wonderful summer event.

Here are a few fun photographs from this weeks event.
